Global Network

An important function of the WDS is to liaise with women in diplomacy in other capitals, with a view to establishing a global network of women in diplomatic service.

Members have committed themselves to establishing similar groups in their future diplomatic postings.

This has already begun with Ruth Elizabeth Rouse, a founder member of the WDS, who has created strong links between the London association and the group of women permanent representatives to the UN.
